Registration

Register online through our registration page. Fill out the form with player and parent information, then submit payment via Zelle (831-594-4413) or check. Early bird registration is open now through March 1, 2026.

Early bird registration is open through March 1, 2026 ($195). Regular registration begins February 16 ($225). Orientation and first practice is Saturday, March 14, 2026.

Early bird (through Feb 15): $195. Regular (after Feb 15): $225. The fee includes jersey, practices, games, tournaments, and access to all program benefits. Absolutely no refunds once registered.

We accept Zelle (831-594-4413) and checks made out to "Monterey Bay Wizards Basketball Academy" mailed to 41 Prince Place, Salinas, CA 93905.

What to Wear & Bring

Players must wear basketball shoes and a solid color T-shirt. Please also bring a towel and a water bottle. Team jerseys will be provided after registration.

Yes! In-person sign-up is available at Hartnell Community College Aux Gym, 5pm - 7pm on the following dates: Tues, March 3, Thurs, March 5, Tues, March 10, Thurs, March 12.

Program Details

We have teams for grades 3-12, both boys and girls. Teams include: 3rd/4th Grade Mix, 5th/6th Grade Boys, 5th/6th/7th Grade Girls, 7th/8th Grade Boys, 8th/9th/10th JV HS Girls, JV HS Boys, Varsity HS Boys, Varsity HS Girls.

Practices are Monday and Wednesday at Sacred Heart Gym (22 Stone Street, Salinas) with times TBA. Games are every Saturday at Hartnell Community College Auxiliary Gym.

The Spring 2026 season runs March 14 - June 27, 2026. Orientation and first practice is Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Hartnell College. Orientation times: 8:30am - 10:30am — 3rd/4th Grade Mix & 5th/6th Grade Boys; 10:45am - 12:45pm — 7th/8th Grade Boys & 5th/6th/7th/8th Girls, JV HS & Varsity Girls; 1:00pm - 3:00pm — JV HS & Varsity Boys. This is our 12th annual season.

Registration includes: team jersey, weekly practices, games, tournament participation, professional coaching, skills development, guest speaker access, and community service opportunities.

High School Players

High school players get access to Hartnell College weight room, opportunity to earn college credit, participation in our guest speaker series, and the role model program where they mentor younger players.

Every year we bring in special guests including Hall of Famers, professional athletes, and successful community leaders to speak to our players about their experiences and share life lessons.

Getting Involved

Contact us to learn about volunteer opportunities. Volunteers can earn community service hours and receive reduced registration fees for their players. We also have paid positions like front door staff (includes free food).

We offer free referee training! You'll learn to officiate games, get paid for working games, and can earn official certification. Community service hours are available for student referees.

Yes! We offer coaching clinics for parents who want to help coach. Experienced coaches can earn a stipend. Contact us to learn more about coaching opportunities.
